Uganda’s Education system requires one to go through primary education and secondary education before enrolling to higher institutions of learning.

Uganda has introduced free education for both primary (Universal Primary Education-UPE) and secondary schools (Universal Secondary Education-USE)

The country has been successful in enrolling more than 90% of children in primary school. But only about a quarter of young people remain in secondary school.
