Sebeya River

Sebeya River is a river in Western Province, Rwanda that empties into Lake Kivu just south of the Town of Gisenyi.Sebeya River originates in the mountains of Rutsiro District.

Rubyiro River

Rubyiro River is a river in southwestern Rwanda that is a left-hand tributary of the Ruzizi River. It joins the Ruzizi, which forms the boundary between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, about 2 kilometres above the point where the Ruhwa River, which forms the boundary between Rwanda and Burundi, enters the Ruzizi

Koko River

Koko River is a river in the Rusizi District of southwestern Rwanda that is a right-hand tributary of the Ruhwa River, which forms the boundary between the western regions of Rwanda and Burundi. For most of its length it runs through the Nyungwe National Park and also flows into Lake Kivu.

Mbirurume River

Mbirurume is a river in western Rwanda that is a tributary of the Nyabarongo River.Mbirurume rises in forested country in southern Rwanda to the east of the Congo-Nile Divide.It originates in the extreme north of the Nyungwe National Park, in the Nyamagabe District. It flows in a northeast direction, entering Karongi District and passes Mukungu to the west, then runs in a northeast direction along the border between Nyamagabe and Karongi districts. It then turns southeast shortly before meeting the Mwogo River from the left

Mwogo River

Mwogo River is a river in western Rwanda that is a tributary of the Nyabarongo River. Mwogo rises in forested country in southern Rwanda to the east of the Congo-Nile Divide. It has its sources in the Kitabi sector of the Nyamagabe District. It runs eastward past Nyarusiza into the Huye District. It runs in a northeast direction through the western part of this district, entering the Nyanza district. In Nyanza district it runs northeast, passing Mweya at the point where the Muhimbi River enters it from the left, it is joined by the Rukarara River from the left. It then forms the western boundary of Ruhango District and is joined from the left by the Mbirurume River just south of Bwakira.

Rukarara River

Rukarara River is a river in western Rwanda that is a tributary of the Mwogo River, in turn a tributary of the Nyabarongo River. It is the most distant headwater of the Nile.

Rukarara rises in forested country in southern Rwanda to the east of the Congo-Nile Divide. The Kamiranzovu Swamp in the Nyungwe Forest Reserve provides a natural reservoir for the Rukarara

Akanyaru River

Akanyaru River is the main tributary of the Nyabarongo River. It rises in the western highlands of Rwanda and Burundi, flows east and then north along the border between those countries before joining the Nyabarongo River.

Ruhwa River

Ruhwa River is a river in southwestern Rwanda that is a left-hand tributary of the Ruzizi River. It joins the Ruzizi, which forms the boundary between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, about 2 kilometres where the Rubyiro River enters the Ruzizi. The Ruhwa forms the boundary between the western regions of Rwanda and Burundi.
