National Museum in Gitega
Musee National de Gitega also known as Gitega National Museum was founded in 1955.
Located on de la révolution 223 in Gitega, 112 kilometers from Bujumbura City. The museum has a variety of collections, the major collection of Gitega National Museum is composed of the musical instrument of Burundi.National Museum hosts some of the best archival information about the history of the country. It has photographs of Burundi’s monarchies and genocide.
The exterior is not extremely impressive and the aesthetics are not great in general, but the content is sure to inform and entertain.
